Netop uses his skills to help his community. Below are some of the events he has done and some of the causes he supports.

Netop celebrated his 9th birthday by having a party and fund raising event at Aunt Kerry's Pet Stop on Jan. 28, 2012. It was great fun and Netop raised $965 for the Morris Animal Foundation's canine cancer research program.

Netop performed at Celebrity Paws for C. O. P. E. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2010. C. O. P. E. Elder Care is a non-profit organization that brings compassionate geriatic care to seniors in Wake County, NC.

Netop appeared on Gracie's Friends on Sunday, Sept 4. Gracie's Friends is a TV program that showcases adoptable pets that need a loving human to look after them.

Netop held a fundraiser for Adopt-An-Angel at Aunt Kerry's Pet Stop on Saturday July 9, 2011. Netop raised $290 to be used to help with Adopt-An-Angel's huge vet bills.

Netop gave a painting demonstration at the Whiskers, Wags, and Wine food and wine tasting event on June 6, 2011. This event benefited the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach.

Netop gave painting demonstrations at the Monty's Home Pet Expo at the Swartz Center in downtown Wilmington on February 27, 2011 and at the Love A Pet Fair at the New Hanover Government Center on February 21, 2011.

Netop was at Aunt Kerry's Pet Stop on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 raising funds for three local rescue groups to pay medical expenses for animals in their care. He raised over $2,000.

On October 24, 2010 Netop was at Paws-Ability's annual Wag Shag event at the Sea Trail Convention Center in Sunset Beach. Netop gave a painting demonstration and helped Paws-Ability raise money for local animal shelters.

On Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, 9 AM to 12 noon, Netop performed at Celebrity Paws for Cope. Cope Elder Care is a non-profit organization that brings compassionate geriatic care to seniors in Wake County, NC. Watch Netop perform at this event.

Netop donated a special painting to "Women of Hope" for their first fundraiser. (http://www.womenofhopefightcancer.com/). Netop made an appearance and gave a painting demonstration on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at "The Art of Women's Cancers" exhibit held at Independence Mall in Wilmington, NC. To see a video of Netop's exhibition click here

Netop gave a great performance at the Love a Pet Fair on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at the Hanover County Government Center. This fair raised pet care awareness.

An video concerning fire safety for pets and featuring Netop and his family was on WWAY-TV on Jan. 5, 2009. Please watch the video; it may be one of the most important things you do.

Netop performed at the Fur Ball in Wilmington, NC on Dec. 5, 2009. This black tie gala benefited Adopt-an-Angel and the Pender County Humane Society.

In the Fall of 2009 Netop participated in an exhibit hosted by the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC benefitting the Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue.

On October 24, 2009 Netop gave a painting demonstration at the "Bark & Wine" fundraising event to benefit "Furever Friends Animal Rescue".

On October 11, 2009 Netop was at Paws-Ability's annual Wag Shag event at the Sea Trail Convention Center in Sunset Beach. Netop gave a painting demonstration and helped Paws-Ability raise money for local animal shelters.

Netop was at the Lu Mil Vineyard in Dublin, NC on September 19, 2009 helping the Bladen County Humane Society raise money for their shelter and spay/neuter clinic.  He donated a painting for the silent auction that sold for $275.

On September 12, 2009 Netop joined many NC celebrities in an event and dog walk to benefit COPE Eldercare, a nonprofit organization that helps bring compassionate geriatric care to seniors in Wake County, NC.

On April 8, 2009 Netop went to UPS to send the Morris Animal Foundation a check for $2,507.13.  That figure is the total he made from donations, his exhibit at Bottega Gallery, his day at Aunt Kerry's Pet Stop and raffle ticket sales for "The Day of the White Feather".

Netop held a raffle on Mar. 22, 2009 for two of his paintings with the proceeds going to the Morris Animal Foundatation to be used in their quest to cure canine cancer. "The Day of  the White Feather" was won by Barbara Bray of Wilmington and Noreen O'Neill of Newport, RI, won a second Netop painting. See photos of the raffle drawings. Netop presented a check for $1,425 to Captain Jack to help him with his medical expenses. This check represented the proceeds of the sale of Netop's painting at Aunt Kerry's on March 1, 2008. To see a photo of this presentation please click here.

Netop's Pet-Oxygen Mask Fundraiser at the Children's Museum of Wilmington was a success. Watch video. 54 sets of pet oxygen masks were presented to area fire departments on Dec. 12, 2007. WECT TV 6 covered the presentation. On July 20, 2009 a dog was rescued from a house fire on Carolina Beach. On Sept 18, 2009 a cat was saved because the fire department had these masks and they knew how to use them. Please read the heartwarming news stories about these rescues.

Netop had an exhibit at The Upstairs Gallery in Greensboro, NC in April of 2007.  It was a benefit for the SPCA of the Triad. He had around 80 paintings on exhibit and sold most during the opening. He was able to donate $1100.00 to the SPCA of the Triad.
